Second, raw material selection requirements

When extruding ABS resin template (sheet), the melt flow rate MFR of resin should be in the range of 1 ~ 25g10min. When the resin is put into production, it should be dried first, because the resin is easy to absorb moisture in the air during storage; The moisture content of the resin should not exceed 0.1% before being placed in the extruder for extrusion. If the water content in the resin exceeds this value, the extrusion sheet (sheet) will affect the quality of the product. Extruded sheets (sheets) usually have defects such as bubbles, pits and horizontal streaks.

3. Parameter requirements

The extrUDER USED TO produce ABS sheet (sheet) extrusion can be used together with ordinary single screw extruder, conical twin screw extruder and exhaust extruder. If the exhaust extruder is used to produce ABS sheet (sheet), the raw material does not need to be dried, but can be directly input into the extruder to extrude sheet (sheet).

The structural form of ABS extrusion screw is the same as that of PVC raw material extrusion screw. These two kinds of raw materials are non-crystalline polymers. The compression ratio of the screw used is smaller than that of the screw used for PVC extrusion, generally (1.6-2.5) :1

Used for ABS plate (sheet) extrusion molding of the head usually adopts the hanging head, the material in the head of the stay time is short, uniform distribution. ABS plate of 0.2~6mm can be formed.

Five, forming characteristics

(1) The flow of ABS in molten state is a pseudo-plastic fluid sensitive to shear rate. Increasing pressure (shear rate) improves machining flow more effectively than increasing temperature.

(2) ABS is an amorphous polymer with low melting point and wide melting range. Forming temperature fluctuation is small, easy to process, little influence. After forming, there is no crystallization and little shrinkage.

(3) ABS resin often needs to dry before forming, so that the water absorption rate is reduced to less than 0.1%, in order to prevent products due to high moisture absorption and silver lines, bubbles and other defects.
